Every day, people at your company ask questions the CRM already knows the answer to.
Where are we with this quote? Who has the baton on this order? When’s the last time we touched this customer? Are we on target to hit our goal?
The answers are in Dynamics 365. Getting to them is the problem. Someone opens a record, scrolls, reads a few fields and works it out in their head. Or they skip all that and ask someone, who stops what they’re doing to look it up. Multiply that by every record and every person, every day, and a real share of the week goes to finding out where things stand. A good share of every status meeting goes to the same thing.
Status at a Glance is the second set of P2 Smart Controls, and it is built on one idea: the system should just tell you the answer.
Stage Indicator: where does this stand?
Stage Indicator answers the first two questions. Open a quote and you can see where it stands. Open an order and you can see who has the baton right now, whether that’s customer service, production, QC, shipping or billing. Every department looks at the same screen and gets the same answer, so nobody has to walk over and ask.
Smart KPI: is this okay?
Smart KPI answers the other two. When did we last touch this customer? Are we on target? The answer shows up as a color. Green, it’s fine. Yellow, take a look. Red, it’s a problem. Nobody has to remember what the right number is; the color tells them.
What changes
Nobody types a status update. Nobody runs a report or asks around. The answer was always in the system, and now it’s on the screen. When the status meeting does happen, it can start on the records that are yellow or red instead of reading through the ones that are fine.
